    The Managing Your Education (MY) curriculum assists service members in identifying the higher education requirements that support their personal career goals.  This two-day workshop is divided into the following topic areas:  learning the basics, choosing a field of study, selecting an institution, gaining admission, and funding higher education.  This workshop is beneficial for both service members attending college for the first time to those applying to graduate degree programs. Throughout the workshop, participants conduct research as each topic is presented and complete a comparison of at least two institutions of higher education.

    The Boots 2 Business (B2B) curriculum provides service members with an overview of business ownership and is open to transitioning service members and their spouses. This 2-Day workshop will assist participants in:

    1. Understanding the steps, stages, and activities related to launching and growing a business as a post-military career. 
    2. Understanding how business ownership might align with their own personal strengths and life goals. 
    3. Understanding the fundamental tools and strategies associated with developing plans and launching a new business.

    The DOL Career and Credential Exploration (C2E) curriculum assists service members evaluate career options, gain information for training and employment, and identify the next steps to prepare for a transition into a high-quality civilian career. The workshop includes personalized career development assessments of occupational interests and aptitudes to help service members identify occupations that may be the right fit for them. Participants will be guided through a variety of career considerations, including labor market projections, education, apprenticeships, certifications, and licensure requirements. 

    Location: Military and Family Readiness Center

    Uniform: Business Casual Recommended

    What to bring: A laptop with a mouse is highly recommended for completing the 3 assessments on interests, aptitudes and work values.

    The Managing Your Education (MY) curriculum assists service members in identifying the higher education requirements that support their personal career goals.  This two-day workshop is divided into the following topic areas:  learning the basics, choosing a field of study, selecting an institution, gaining admission, and funding higher education.  This workshop is beneficial for both service members attending college for the first time to those applying to graduate degree programs. Throughout the workshop, participants conduct research as each topic is presented and complete a comparison of at least two institutions of higher education.

    The DOL Career and Credential Exploration (C2E) curriculum assists service members evaluate career options, gain information for training and employment, and identify the next steps to prepare for a transition into a high-quality civilian career. The workshop includes personalized career development assessments of occupational interests and aptitudes to help service members identify occupations that may be the right fit for them. Participants will be guided through a variety of career considerations, including labor market projections, education, apprenticeships, certifications, and licensure requirements.
