The Spouse Orientation & Tour is a fun and informative base orientation. During the tour spouses will have the opportunity to learn about the various missions at Scott AFB, and the many services available to them. Each quarter a different squadron will provide a special tour and lunch will be provided.
Military spouses join the military without taking the oath, but they are important members of the team. New military spouses may soon discover that their AD spouse will soon deploy, or they are about to PCS, but they may not be sure what a deployment or PCS means let alone what it involves. The Spouse Orientation & Tour (Heart Link) teaches new spouses (married less than 5 years) about military life as a member and family member.

Grief can feel so isolating, but you don't have to be alone. You will find others who are walking this journey with you. This network of spouses is an informal group that understands the grief as they have lost and received the folded flag. This group meets monthly at the Military & Family Readiness Center. The group shares resources, talks about experiences, and advocates for Widows/Widowers. For more information please contact the M&FRC at (618) 256-8668 or aafrc@us.af.mil.
